Canadian Dental Care Plan | Grant For Dentistry

Families need regular dental cleanings and care to maintain healthy smiles and overall well-being. At East Ottawa Dental, we provide gentle and personalized dental services for all ages, ensuring that every family member’s oral health needs are met with care and expertise. We believe that prioritizing dental health helps build lifelong habits of wellness, comfort, and confidence.

The Canadian government now provides support through the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), making it easier for families to access essential dental services. This program offers financial assistance for a wide range of dental treatments, helping reduce the cost of care for eligible individuals.

How the Canadian Dental Care Plan Works

The CDCP helps cover the cost of many dental services, including:

  • Preventive services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
  • Diagnostic services like dental exams and x-rays
  • Restorative treatments such as fillings, root canals, and dentures
  • Oral surgery including extractions and procedures for tumors or fractures
  • Periodontal services like gum disease treatments and deep scaling
  • Limited orthodontic services for specific medical needs

Some services may require preauthorization, and the program uses a national fee schedule that may differ from provincial dental fee guides. Patients may be responsible for a portion of costs depending on their household income and the treatment provided.
